Social context

[obviously this can shuffle within paragraph]

Para 2 – wider reading

Topic sentence – which links AND contextualises (eg The presentation of a voice as “suffering” physically as well as mentally when in the thrall of unrequited love is reminiscent of Spencer’s presentation of the poetic voice in The Faerie Queen.  Written a century earlier, the chivalric themes are also present and may have influenced Keats in ITEM 1.)

Social Context

Remember the wider reading should influence your reading of the unseen.
eg this is reminiscent; may have influenced; may have been influenced

AVOID: Comparing wider reading by technique (eg “another poem which uses alliteration is”);
Comparing simply be “type of love” (eg “Shakespeare also writes about lust”)

YOU MUST COVER LANGUAGE FORM AND STRUCTURE

AND COMPARE WIDER READING OF LIKE GENRES (poetry with poetry etc)
